Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1960 Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej (now OnestiThe name of the company is Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to receive a score of a perfect of 10 in an Olympic event. Bela Karolyi, later Romanian Gymnastics Coach discovered Comaneci as she was only six years old. In 1969, she participated at the Romanian Junior Games where she placed 13th. She took home the trophy in 1970. In 1972, in a meet of communist countries juniors prior to the Olympic Games, she was awarded three gold medals. And in 1973, and 1974 she was named the all-around junior champ. She topped Russian Lyudmila Torishcheva, the five-time European Champion, in her debut senior international event in 1975. In the event, she received four golds, and a silver. In 1976, she was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and became the first woman ever to remove the parallel bars and to use double backwards salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The actress began her career in entertainment during her teenage years, when she appeared in an ice skating duo along with Nina Wayne and her twin sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol started her entertainment career as a teenager. At the age of a girl she began her journey as the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. They featured ice-skating performances that were accompanied by theatrical music.
